Internal Network Number Conflict

Ok, get this.
In a Netware 4.11 network, we are trying to get XP running on the latest Novell client. In the IPX Protocol settings you are asked for an Internal Network Number, frame type specify (or Autodetect) and Network Number (if no autodetect). We want it to run autodetect. When you do an autodetect for frame type it creates its own hexidecimal number for the Internal network number, appearing as if it is not recognizing any internal network number for this LAN, and will not grab the tree (hence no login). If you specify the frame type and apply the network number and Internal network numbers as the SAME 8 digit "network numbers", it allows you onto the LAN but not outside the LAN.
