i run win xp home, every so often the mouse i use: intellimouse optical, stalls. i get a double bonging-sort of sound, and the mouse freezes or acts goofy for a sec. i just replaced my mobo because i thought that the usb ports were failing on the old one, because the same thing would happen, but it would crash the system on occasion before, now it hasnt done that yet with new mobo. i cant find anthing running that doestn't belong in the task manager, and i've disabled messenger in admin controls. i run kazaa++ occasionally, pop up stopper, zone alarm, spybot program, and icq, could there be something that piggybacked in on one of these progs?
