Hi all:
Here is the problem. My boss is on the road right now on vacation. He has his p3 1.2ghz laptop with him that runs XP home edition and has 356MB RAM. His friend also has a similar laptop. His friend connects to the internet through a dial-up connection to AOL. Is there any way my boss can share that internet connection when his friend is online. Both the computers have 10/100 ethernet cards. Thanks for any help.

Go to HELP AND SUPPORT
Type in 'home network'
Read through the articles so that you understand what's happening and then follow the step by step guideline in 'network setup wizard'.
It's really good and you should be on the air in no time at all.

its not really worth all the trouble you have to go through to make it work but you can make a peer to peer connection youll need a cat5 crossover cable (not patch) and a lot of patience. Or you can buy a router or switch which dosent make sense for a trip.
