Im considering upgrading from my current porcessor which is Pentium 3 (866Ghz) to a Pentium 4 HT Processor. I havnt bought one yet. If I did, how would I install it in my computer? My motherboard is an MSI-MicroStar 6198 so i dont know if it will even work on it yet.

Your best bet is to go to MSI's website to get info on your motherboard.

You cant just remove your P3 and stick a Pentium 4 in there. You would need (at the very least) a new motherboard. But most likely you would also need DDR ram, possibly a new power supply and case.

If you upgrade from Pentium 3 to Pentium 4, You have to get a new motherboard and may be memory as well. It is better to build a new system and give that system to someone or you can use it as a backup system.
