I have Intel 875P motherboard and I am trying to install
Intel Active Monitor which I downloaded from Intel's
website... whenever I click the installation file, the
setup starts the first steps, but it pauses forever... the
installation screen disappears from the desktop and all
what is left is the tab beside the start button in the task
bar with the label "installShield" on it... when I click
this button nothing happens... Then, I have to go to Task
Manager and End Task "intelactivemonitor.exe" and
"Kerneli.exe"... after I did that, I recieved this error
message saying that "Remote Procedure Call failed"... I
have this service enabled and started...

Note: I am using XP Pro w/SP1 and all updates... this is
the first time I get this error and it is the first time I
try to install it...

why am I getting this error? how can I install Intel Active
monitor which monitors tempretures of motherboard and CPU?

Thanx in advance...

If it's not a genuine Intel board it also will not install. For instance a Dell or Gateway mobo has the correct chipset but is not a real Intel board. Just the chipset is not enough.
