IS it possible to burn a copy of XP onto CD that already has RAID drivers on it so that you dont have to put in a disk anymore? Sure would be nice (especially when I dont have a disk drive anymore).

No it is not !!!
The onlyway to achieve this is by creating an image, of your current configuration for future use.
A method caled Slipstreaming is used to create a xp cd with all service pack and security updates so they can be loaded during windows instal, but I must admit I dont know if this method can be used for second party drivers.
If you dont have a disk drive, why not just go out and get a nother one ?? At the prices these days we cn affort to buy enough to last us a life time in one hit.
Besides when xp looks for the drivers it automaticly defaults to the A drive, so getting it to look elswhere may be an isue.
Perhaos you can have a look at the MS technical supprt site for more info.

IF IT AINT BROKE, DONT FIX IT

It is possible to add additional drivers (including RAID and SATA) to a new Win XP install CD. Adding most drivers is not too difficult if youare somewhat technically inclined, but SATA and RAID drivers are a little more in-depth. This is not a 15 minute operation, but if you do many installations/re-installations it will save you time in the long run.
Here is a page concerning just the SATA/RAID drivers, but you will need to read the basics of the guide in creating an unattended XP Disk to make it work.

Great page for making unattended installations, adding drivers and so on...http://nuhi.msfn.org/
Download Nlite... it has menus to integrate drivers, hotfixes, service packs and change much more

Thanks for the private message JL.
But i wouldn't entirely consider my post as having no clue as you stated in your private message.
If anything at ay least I was able to give the originator and idea that it may be possible. Which I can at least give them some idea in which direction to look should they wish to do so.
If you wish to send me messages stating I have no clue can you pls post them in the public forum.
Constructive criticism I have little against, we are all here to help and learn.
So if you wish to state I know nothing, pls do so here, if you wish to correct ,me pls do so here, if you wish to advise me of something i ma not familiar with pls do so here.
But private dergatory message I do not accept.

ok Janos
first of all i dident meant to be arogant
so sorry for that.. and second i think it's better to take discousing like this private and not use others topics..And why i thought you have no clue about what you were saying..
on his question..
you answerd No it is not !!!
that is the answer when you know something doesent work!and you stated that XP looks for drivers on A:.. true, but that is only if you press F6 initialy when starting the XP installation..
and that you dont need to do when you have implemented the drivers in XP installation files..you were right about slipstreaming...
it is really useful when installing many computers and have the latest service pack directly.. something that saves a lot of time..
