instant crashes when I play games

Comment:
I have a intel pentium III 900 mhz processor with a geforce 2 32Mb and 256 Mb SDRam, I got all the latest/best drivers for my hardware and have no problems in my configuration. However, when I play any game, after 5 minutes the system or crashes, or totally reboots itself. The strange thing is that it only happens with computer games. I seriously don't know what to do, plz help.

did you take the check out about the pc restarting? if not right click on my computer and click properties then advanced then startup and recovery settings and take the check out of automatically restart...then when this happens it will blue screen and give u and error code that u can search google or microsoft and it will give u a good start on fixing the prob.

I do have the technical codes of the crash, and it was a 09, whitch means that it is a hardware problem. But I haven't found any solution on google, technical forums or even windows itself, where they say you should go to the manufacturer. But I doubt that it's anything with the hardware, because no new components have been added, neither any have been removed. I think it has something to do with my graphical system... and not with the IRQ, because I already had changed it, and it didn't do anything.

You could also have a heat issue? Are you sure that the games you are playing are compatible with the graphics card that you have?

when you crash during games most of the time it is your graphics card causing the problem. most of todays games demand an awful lot from your vid card and if things aren't just so bad things start to happen. Go through your direct x video section and make sure your switches are set right. also go to display\settings\advanced and downgrade your hardware acceleration one notch and see if that helps.
