hi~ i have this install problem...
been using installwhield wizard to setup programs.. but last week when i was trying to install a photoshop program.. the indicator went to 99% and just stopped... a "installshield engine problem" notice popped and some errors popped up:

AppName: 00692b34._mp
AppVer: 5.53.168.0
ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0
Offset: 75676552

can someone please help?? i'm desperate to setup the program! i searched through the net and some sites told me to delete the "engine" folder in "installshield".. but it still doesn't work.
is it a virus or something? or it there a file missing?
i've got this "ikernel" file in the "intel 32" folder.. is that correct?

or should i uninstall the whole "installshield program"? but how i can reinstall it??

please help!
and many thanks~

Ivy

Does it happen with just photoshop or any program you want to install.

If it is just photoshop I think the installation file is corrupt. if you're installing from a CD sometimes it helps to clear dust particles from the surface of the CD.

It happened to me once while I was installing a game from a CD, just gave it a quick wipe and second time it installed fine.

Make sure you've turned off your antivirus program before trying to install. Adobe is a real stickler about this.
