installng xp from dr-dos

i want to format my hard drive,and install windows xp from dr-dos .my problem is that i have no idea what the command lines are to bootup or load xp on my cdrom from my floppy . can anyone help .

You should be able to boot from the XP CD. If it doesn't, then hit DEL when your PC boots to go into BIOS settings and change your primary boot device to your CD-ROM drive (this info should be in your motherboard manual).

You should be able to format your hd from within the setup program (by deleting your current partition and making a new one).
Although, I don't know this for sure (I have installed Windows 3.1, NT3.51, NT4, 95, 98, Me and 2000 many times from scratch, I did a lazy upgrade when I installed XP.)

im back , with some problems , i have to hard drives . i think it xp wont install because it dectects them both and will not install further . should i disconnect one then install it later or is there a better way to get around this problem?

DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR GET RID OF DR- DOS.GO TO MICROSOFT.COM AND DOWNLOAD THE PROGRAM TO MAKE BOOTDISKS FOR XP.IT WORKS REAL GOOD IT TAKES 6 FORMATED FLOPPY DISKS TO MAKE .
