Hi, I have a problem. I just installed xp pro over 2000 with new install option. But now I get dual booting. I want to get rid of w2k. How can I do it?

You just have to edit the boot.ini file. Go to a command prompt, type in bootcfg, see if there are two entries there pointing to the same partition. Delete the one you don't want by hitting "bootcfg delete"

thank you. But when it boots up, if i choose w2k, then i still can go in to w2k. I don' think the new installation overwrites the w2k. What can i do? thanks.

when you install, there are two options; upgrade or new. I chose new install, but it did not overwrite.
