Installing XP on Sony PCG-F540

We have old Sony Viao PCG-F540 and trying to install XP on a re-formated drive without recovery cd tool ( it was missing). We do the normal setup but it has encountered a problem saying;;;
file ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded
error code is 7

How do we fix this. Thank you very much

This issue may occur if your computer's BIOS has issues when ACPI is enabled.

... tap either "F2" ... or f3 key @ boot-up to enter Viao bios


... fried "Ram" may also be the culprit
