I am about to do a fresh install of xp home with the disks I received with my labtop its xp home edition service pack 2
now on the E drive/partition i have already installed win2000 server now when my computer boots its the win 2000 server that takes care of the boot menu. as this was installed after xp home on C drive.
question: when I do a fresh install of xp home on C will i still see the win 2000 server in the boot menu?

I'm guessing the Windows 2000 Server entry of the boot menu won't be there anymore after reinstalling XP Home. However, you should be able to put it back by modifying the "boot.ini" file, which looks like this: --------------------- [boot loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS [operating systems] multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
---------------------
Good luck!
