|I have an Asus N10E that I replaced the HDD on. I've installed Linux and Home XP via YUMI multiboot. The problem is that my XP Home key won't work. I previously downloaded an OEM Home version with SP3 and burned a disc from it. Then with YUMI, created the ISO from that disc. I looked at the serial and found it's a "Royalty" version. When I try to activate Windows it says it's an incorrect product key. So when I try to activate through the telephone, it still says it's invalid.|
Now, I know that the disc works. I've installed it on my Emachines and used the key that is on the sticker. Since the disc is SP3 I had to activate it through the telephone, and it worked fine.
I'd rather use the key I have instead of downloading a pirated version.
What are my options?
Old stuff that still works, somewhat....
