Installing XP from Hard Disk

Hi, I have this problem: I've downloaded an .ISO file of Windows XP.I extracted all files to my D: drive to install xp from there but when I choose the option "install windows xp" nothing happens.Any help?

Make sure you have smartdrive(smartdrv.exe) available. Boot on your bootdisk(win98 bootdisk will do).Execute "smartdrv /4096". Then go to your i386 installation directory of WinXP and execute "winnt.exe".

i have the same problem, and brains' explanation doesnt work....
when i try to run winnt.exe off the cd it just says "program too big to fit in memory" ....im pissed

when ya create your cd choose from data layout and select iso foramt , then it'll give you your setup and thing. first run chkupgrd.bat 'cos it'll tell you what bits of your hardware (hopefully) aren't compatible

Can someone give me the steps to take to copy the windows xp pro cd to the hard drive and then initiate it from the hard drive?
