I am going to implement a touch screen based system which is going to be used non-stop continously 24x7. For this system I want to use USB Pendrive to install & run Win-XP instead of Hard Disk and want stable system. I have few queries : 1) Will WIN-XP be installed & booted from USB Pen drive 2) Will the system be stable ? Will there be any issues of hanging, rebooting or Pen Drive not detecting if I use Pen Drive as boot device.
But like Bakers said your BIOS has to allow you to boot from USB media.
Hope this article helps!

Hi, Bakers & Kwlakey
Thanks for the reply. Yes I do understand that BIOS should allow booting from USB Drive. Apart from that my main query is stability. As I want to run the system 24x7 will there be any issues of hanging, rebooting or slow response.
BTW what is the difference between USB Pen Drive & Solid State Disk ?
