I was wandering if there was anyway to install Microsoft Windows XP Professional without first installing another version, such as Windows 98. if there is a way, what is it?

Absolutely.
Make sure that the Hard Disk is 'clean' by doing a format, use a Win98 startup floppy.
Remove any floppy disks, an reboot, making sure that the XP installation CD is in the drive and also that the BIOS is set to boot from CD [doesn't matter if it's not the first device it looks for], XP should start to install!
