CPU/Ram: amd 700 mhz /192 mb ram

can any one help me to define the proplem when i try to install windows 2000 or xp i get this msg:
the file was not copied correctly.the file setup placed on your hard drive is not a valid window 2000/xp system image
to retry press enter
to skip this files perss esc
to quite press f3

i haVE FOUND THAT THOSE PROBLEMS ARE CAUSED by either a bad cd-rom, or bad memory, or bad install disk
