I am trying to install the software and drivers of my Sony Ericsson V630i mobile phone onto my laptop. the cd version is V630i and it came with the phone.
everything seems to work fine while installing the driver, then during the install process it stops and says that the file SeBbus.sys cannot be found. so it allows you to search for it, so i grab it from the cd (it was already there, dont know why the system couldnt find it) then the process continues and finishes saying that it could not complete setup.
now i tried this on another computer and it worked fine.
so what do you think it could be, i dont want to have to reinstall windows.
thanks heaps in advance.

Hi,
Try copying the setup files to harddisk and then run setup.
Before running the setup,Rename the folder c:\windows\system32\Catroot2 to catroot2.old and restart the system.
All the Best buddy.

"so what do you think it could be"
Only you would know if the following is applicable or not.
I am have Sony Digital Camcorder and it's instructions clearly stated to install the software before ever connecting the device.
It's manual also provides a very long set of instructions for repairing it if done backwards.
Perhaps your Sony device has similar information/instructions.
The above offering is assuming that you have done it backwards. It's easy to do. Got a new toy and in the excitement went ahead and hooked it up first causing it to use generic drivers instead of the correct ones.
Bryan

yes Bryan, i followed the instructions. like i stated
"tried this on another computer and it worked fine"
my appologies for not including that i called the ericson help desk and they said it was something to do with my computer.
thanks for your responces guys.
