have a inspiron 2650 dell laptop. My harddrive crashed on me and now I installed a new one. I put the operating cd in and ran that. Will I have to go thru and install and the driver cd and utilites cd also. and also my touch pad mouse is not working and when I tried connecting a regular mouse that doesn't work either. please help.

Go to Dell's Support Site and enter the ST of your computer. Start with the chipset drivers, and then install others as needed.

yes, you have to install the drivers and the chipset drivers. That's why your touchpad isn't working.
