This may help,

http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=1478

If not check with Adobe by either calling or emailing.

I have PhotoShop 5.0 and don't have any problems using it in XP.

i've got photoshop 7 running on windows xp and it works fine for me.
if it doesn't work, just try to scandisc, or go into your reg.
start=> execute=> regedit.exe
and check your adobe photoshop 7 reg's.
or else you can do the http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=1478 stuff, as mentioned above in here :)
