Comment:

I just downloaded a real old computer game for which, it seems, the character set is becoming obsolete. On most computers I've run it on, all text shows up fine, but on my notebook computer some text shows up as gibberish. Is there anyway to determine what character set I need for the game - and then how do I find it and install it?

Alternatively, I could probably copy the character set from one of the working computers and transfer it over to my notebook, but I don't know how to do that. Could anyone help me?
