Solved Installing acrobate reader version 9 or 10

February 15, 2012 at 07:49:17
Specs: Windows xpsp2, Amd athlon 1.33Ghz
I am using windows XP sp2 . I have tried downloading acrobat reader a number of times. after installing a fresh copy of windows xp sp2 . When I execute it after downloading , it starts installing then it stops at 41 %. Sometimes it downloads together with McAfee scan plus. . McAfee scan installs 100%. There should be no virus as it is a fresh copy.Acrobat reader Version 9 and 10 does that now. When I tried it before I had some software problem it managed to install after a few attempts. Now no matter how I tried it stops at 41%.
Thank you for helping me.

Your processor just meets the requirements (if you listed it correctly)

http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/408/kb4088... system requirements

if you need it just to view and print pdf forms there are other alternatives.

Update to SP3 & use Foxit Reader instead of Adobe.

Why I ain't using SP3? Good question . I followed the instructions given to download sp3. It took more than 8 hours. I left the system on the whole night to download. The next night I installed it off line as instructed. It went on to install than came a bomb file corrupt. Couldn't do anything but shut the system. All the same thank you Other Hill.
