How do i know what sata card is compatible with my computer? And even though i have sata ports i cannot use them on this project...why? Or, should i just get a ide adapter? And does anyone know where i can get a motherboard manual for my asus k8s-la (Salmon)And thanks for the info valerie it was very helpful THANKS
Just save the SATA CD drive for a future computer and buy an IDE burner. If you are in the USA then look at the link below. Drive are really cheap. An adapter would be almost as much and may not work. There are a number of them in that link that even have free shipping. I have had good luck with Lite on brand.
