Installation won't continue. Pls help!!

I installed xp using DOS and managed to get thru the first part of installation which is the DOS installation. The 2nd part which is the XP setup, won't continue after restarting. how do i solve this problem?

had that same problem too if it freezzes up what I did was I changed the IDE channel on the cdrom to prim slave this worked I understand that we all have diffrent configureations but it might work.

You are aware that if you are doing an upgrade to XP using DOS you need to run winnt32.exe as opposed to winnt.exe from the i386 directory.
It wont work otherwise.

winnt32.exe only works in windows ( i was told to use winnt.exe) and my bios can't be set to boot with cd too! i also tried copying the whole cd to my hard drive to install but the 0x00007B error appeared. how??? thanks.
