I just bought a new video card today (an upgrade) so i decided to also format my hard drive. After booting into the windows installation (WinXP Home ed.) from my windows xp disc, I let the process format the old windows partition for the new installation. I recieved an error message about windows not being able to load a file, and so I let it skip it, then I decided to exit the installation and start over. Now when I try to install a windows partition in the empty hard drive space (80GB) it begins formatting, but stays stuck at 0%. I have tried the other 'file system' (NFTS "quick") but I also recieve file-loading errors. I have also tried using the recovery console to manually format my hard drive (C:) but it also stay at 0%. Please, any tips on what to do would be great.. thanks

have your tied the old video card for the new install?? if its worked before, it should again. then after install, shut down install new card, see what happens. when ever i have a problem such as yours, usually changing the memoery sticks out solves the problem.
