disk 0 at id 0 is normal; that is the first drive on the correct (1st) channel so to speak. At what point in the install process are you receiving the 0 at 0 prompt?

'and another thought, from your header, you are using xp home; is it sp1 or sp2 and what size hard drive? XP without sp1 or 2 doesn't recognize hard drives over 137 gig.
