installation of visual studio 2005

Specs: Windows XP
After i installed the visual studio 2005 i debugged the sample program. When i debugged the program a message has been thrown that"
msdbg2.dll has not installed properly.please repair your installation"

and then reinstalled for 3 times. the problem exists. give me a solution.

For future reference, software questions should be posted in the Office Software Forum. Did the install complete successfully? What are you debugging, and which program are you running at the time? What's the EXACT error message?

Check the following:

msdbg2.dll not correctly installed

FWIW to XP users: When you click on the 'Command Prompt' you are just causing the 'Command prompt' to be displayed. This prompt gives you access to NTVDM.EXE, the 'NT Virtual DOS Manager'.
