WinXP requires 128MB RAM. It can be installed on a system with 64MB RAM, but it will have limited functionality. 32MB is a "no-go"

BTW, even if you do get it to work, "slow performance" doesn't begin to describe what you'll have...it will be downright painful

If you want to practice loading & configuring WXP then go buy an old PC desktop with 128/256mb of - even this is slow enuff but with what you have you'll be VERY old before u have loaded the OS and probably dead before the first application (Notepad) is loaded.

Dont do it; keep your youth and sanity

After you install it with 64MB, you can take out 32MB and it will run.
I agree with the keyword downright painful

I'm not one of those who think Bill Gates is the devil. I simply suspect that if Microsoft ever met up with the devil, it wouldn't need an interpreter

When you choose to install XP you can do an Advanced Install and choose the programs you want to install instead of installing every single program with XP.
