I have a problem trying to install windows on a IDE drive, which i want to slave to a SATA master. (don't know if thats possible.)
I have a pc, older one, which i want to get back working again. I only have an IDE drive which hasn't got a windows partition yet.
All my other computers are SATA, so i need to find a way to link my IDE to my SATA disk so i can install windows on it.

No it isn't possible. The concept of Master/Slave doesn't exist with SATA drives.
In fact it doesn't really exits with PATA drives anymore. You might just as well call the drive 1 and Drive 2. Before the advent of UDMA when PIO was the norm a slave drive wouldn't work with a Master being present. That is no longer the case with UDMA.
What you mean by link your IDE drive to your SATA drive I have no idea. Just install the drives and make sure they are recognised by the BIOS and you are good to go. The operating system does any linking that is necessary.
