GO into your BIOS ans set CDROM as 1st Boot Device, and save your settings. Put your Xp CD in the drive and reboot.
Once at the Xp setup screen you need to make as if you were doing a fresh install, then select to install on the drive/partition Xp is ALREADY on and you will see a message along the lines of "Xp already detected on this drive/partition, would you like to repair?" yes, you would.
If you have trouble booting from your Xp CD you can d/load 6 Xp startup floppies from Microsoft.com and use those instead, remember to get the correct set of floppies (Xp Pro, Xp Home).
