Can someone help, I've installed a USB 2.0 card, but my pc does not recognise it.
Does it have sopmething to do with IRQ's?
I have a firewire connection, and when i recently restored my pc, the firewire wouldn't work, but the USB2.0 would work, as this was the first thing I installed.
I then restored the pc again, as I need the firewire cable and it now works, however USB 2.0 card won't work.

Check and make sure that your machine has Windows SP2 installed on it. If it doesn't then run windows updates to get Windows SP2 installed. If it does then try going to the USB card manufacture's website and get the drivers.

Why keep restoring when you want to use different connections? Just install the drivers for the Firewire and the USB.

Your PC should recognise the card whether there is an IRQ conflict or not. You may have to install the drivers before you physically install the card into your machine.
