My collegue is running a Compaq Presario 2500 laptop with Windows XP. In her administrator account she's installed a variety of programs (the most important being Office 2000).
The problem is, these installed programs haven't shown up in the two other Windows user accounts (they are both Limited accounts). We've tried creating new Limited accounts since she installed the software, but all of them show up without the new software in the "All Programs" menu.
Is there a function that needs to be activated so that when she installs software on one account, it automatically becomes available for all other users?

You can get ideas from this:
The Desktop that a User sees comes from two folders:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop
and
C:\Documents and Settings\username\DesktopWhere username denotes your User Account configured on the computer.
----------------
The Start Menu a User sees comes from two folders:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu
and
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Start MenuWhere username denotes your User Account configured on the computer.
Move the exe file that opens the program.

Did she install the programs while logged on as an Administrator? If so maybe the limited accounts just don't have the shortcut in the start menu. Try logging onto one of the Limited accoutns, then going to My Computer -> C: -> Program Files -> Program you want to run. Find the EXE and right click it. Choose Send to -> Desktop as Shortcut. You should be able to double click the new icon to launch it.

Good luck :)

Don't move the exe file. Make a shortcut to it.
