I have a Socket 370 microATX ASUS CUW-RM motherboard with onboard 3D Video,Celeron 700,Windows XP.I tried to install a Vanta TNT2 8 meg PCI card into this system.I disabled the onboard video by entering the BIOS and disabling it there and installed the Vanta card. When I re-booted ,all I got was a black screen.I had to short out the CMOS (jumpers) to get the onboard video back.Is this Motherboard video upgradeable?

you should be able to disable it and install a card as you described. from the symptoms you have outlined (ie not being able to even get to a bios screen) i'd say that you didn't seat the card properly or that the pci slot you inserted it into was damaged.

This is problably redundant but are there also any "jumpers" on the m/b for onboard audio? Disabling it in BIOS w/out setting the jumpers may not work. Keep us informed.
