I recently Baught a new computer and installed WinXP SP1 on it. However, upon inserting a CD-R or CD-WR into the DVD/CD-R(not sure what make, x16) or CD-WR(Benq, 40x12x48) drives the computer very often (though not always) reboots.
Have you any idea what the problem might be and how I could fix it?

Try reinstalling your CD Writer software (especially if you have an icon for it in the system tray in the bottom right)....
