I installed IIS 5.1 and I transferred already existing folder into wwwroot directory. So I tried to access that directory by typing http://localhost/directory/index.asp
It doesn't generate any error message, but it just takes forever to open the page and eventually it doesn't open the page. It gives time out error.
Does anybody know what could be the problem here???

Try Making a virtual directory and copying the file in it, to make virtual directory, goto control panel, administrative tools, Internet Service Manager, On the left pan click on the plus sign of your machine name, now right click on the default web sites and new , virtual directory.
Also after making virtual directory, right click on the Virtual directory and click properties, now add index.asp in the documents tab.
