Incorrect password after update to

I hjave just downloaded the latest updates using AU. When the system reboots i get to the log on / user pasword screen but when i type in my password, it says it is incorrect. The only way i can get back into windows is to reboot and f8 to last known good cofig!
I dont usualy have the log on screen enabled but cant get arround this prob.

rogue, SWAG, unsure whether it's the deal or not, but be aware that one of the updates messed up some 98 based machines (KB891711?). Just in case, you might delete that one and see. If it turns out to be needed, no problem getting it back. HTH. Ed in Texas.

If you are able to get into your system, as you say, you should be able to change any passwords the to the way you want them or get rid of them altogether. You can do it this way:
Select Run from the Start Menu, type control userpasswords2, and click Ok. Turn off the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer option, and click Ok
