Hey i jus all of a sudden got a fear that something will happen to my computer (because its happened many times in the past), well to my question i was wondering is there anything i could do, or download so in case of a problem with my PC it would be able to repair it, so like if my computer corrupts, i have a disc to put in to repair it, i know theres that system recovery thing on XP but i still jus wanna know if theres something else i could do.

Use the Restore function. If it is disabled enable it. Or better yet, get an imaging program. You create and image of your partition on another partition or as I do, to optical media (CD/DVD). Then if the worst happens you simply use that image to restore the partition to the state it was in when the image was created. Then all that needs to be installed is anything install after the image creation. Make frequent images and that isn't a problem. Ghost 9 will even make imcremental backups to fill in between the images.

The best measure you have... And I have done this. and do it with all my computers I build for others.
Buy a 2nd harddrive. Port the My documents over to the 2nd HD. Install programs to the 2nd HD and save all info to there.
If the computer fails all your info is safe on the "data" drive. Reinstall windows and all info is back.
