Importing Data into excel.

Specs: Windows XP, Pentium D
Hi guys,
I would like to extract the name of the company,Ph no and address from the webpage given below into columns of excel.Each page has 40 entries.I need about 250 entries for my college project. http://yellowpages.com.au/search/po...

Copy paste method is really time consuming.So is there any software which will automate this process or Is there any other procedures?Please help me...

RaMs , create a string containing the info you desire and each time you want it simply insert the string.

I believe the string Ed is referring to is the harvested data.

Your question pertains to how to harvest that data from the web page.

Problem is you can't harvest the data except manually via the web page.

Perhaps you can order a cd from yellow.com.au that contains the same information like white page listings that you could do a seach on and harvest the data that way.

If you need only 250 (of the 6000 plus) and you don't mind losing a few. Save 10 html pages, strip html tags (use Note Tab), delete top and bottom of page, make a program that will find lines starting with * and followed by number, save lines 2 - name, 4 - address and 5 - phone number. Strip junk, write as CSV file.
