Um....I seem to have two copies of the imapi.sys file on my HD, but neither one will allow me to re-install either of my CD drives.

Is it possible someone could send me a copy as well, or e-mail me with a website link where I can find a fresh copy? I am using Windows XP, if it makes a difference.

Okay this is freaky but my CD-ROM isn't showing up in XP and it's asking for Imapi.sys. It should be on my XP CDRom which, of course, I can't access because my CD-ROM doesn't work....

If having this file has worked for any of you, would you be kind enough to send one along? Thanks.

Windows has figured out a way to wipe this file from your computer! it happens when you don't even know it, and when you turn your computer off, and then back on at some time, the change takes affect...

I need this file too, and it would be great if someone would send it to me if you have it... Thanks to all....

Where are you guys putting this file after you get it? I too have this same problem. I think it may be from installing NERO like someone else mentioned. I have a copy of it in my windows/system32/drivers, but it still doesn't work when I try to install my cd rom drives. Is there another imapi.sys located somewhere else that is different than the one in the driver location?
