When do you think they will ever improve on the video and image resizing technology so that you can blow up a small image or video a lot larger without the image becoming distorted for PC media players and Photoshop? I noticed in movies the police are able to zoom into a tiny image on a surveillance camera for example, and blow it up so it is visible.

Right now I am watching a music video and it is really small, and when I watch it full screen it looks awful.

The answer is in the details.

When you are viewing a (stream, for example) the file is COMPRESSED, and therefore does not contain more data than its 100% size.

That's why the small player size, it's 100% of the file size.

Many streams are compressed to 8 to 10% of their original size. To allow for multiple users to VIEW the content (simultainiously)

CPU / RAM (NA)???

anyway the size of STREAMed video is limited by the speed of your internet connection.

Dial-up (can only mean) a VERY small stream. and therefore SMALL window size.

I purchased a music video from iTunes and expected it to be at least 640 X 480, but since it is an .mp4 file it doesn't display the dimensions, but it looks like it is around 300 pixels in size. I am aware of the reason why they are compressed, my question is when will they improve on the technology so that you can view a small image or video in a much larger size without it getting really pixelated.

You would think the computer would be able to memorize the shape and size and then duplicate it to a larger size and keep everything in tact so that it doesn't look awful at a larger size.

Ah, no - you might think that - I certainly wouldn't

We've heard that a million monkeys at a million keyboards could produce the complete works of Shakespeare; now, thanks to the Internet, we know that is not true

so simple that your Grandma can use it.

There are lots of programs to resize and enhance video. All depends on what program you want to use and how much you are willing to pay for it.
