IE7, Firefox 2/3, and Opera will only display image placeholders on certain websites, such as IMDB for example. These websites all work properly for the two other computers on my home network so it's not the router. This has been happening for about 6 months and it's finally getting on my nerves. On top of that, to try to fix it, I reset IE7 to default setting and now I can't get the Google toolbar to comeback even though I re-installed it, but that's not what I'm concerned with right now. Why would all 3 browsers (and the old Firefox before I updated to 3) not allow images to show, but only on certain websites? (And it's not my firewall either; I checked that a few minutes ago.) Thanks for any advice you can offer, as long as you don't tell me to check "show pictures" for the ten thousandth time!

Normally the showing of images is controlled by the user controlpanel of the website.
Check the profiles that you have at each website and see if the images is turned off.
Also check any pop-up blockers that might be running on your computer...Just about all malware , spyware and virus programs have pop-up blocking applications so be sure to check them all.

Can/will you elaborate on this a little more please... Just where/how does one check the profile for a given web-site?
