Specs: Windows XP
Any time I attempt to use Bing or Google for search purposes, I get the following:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Can you access other websites?
Can you ping google.com? If you don't know what ping is go to:

click START >> click RUN >> type CMD, press ENTER >> in the black box type "PING GOOGLE.COM" (without the quotes), then press ENTER if you get a response like this:

Relpy from bytes=32 time=21ms TTL=48 - this means the Internet connection is OK.

If the response will be like this: "could not find the host...." or similar then there is no internet connection.

If the internet connection is working you can:

1. try to reset the web-browser settings (IE) to default and see whether this resolves your problem.

Go to Control Panel >> Internet Options >> Advanced (Tab) >> Reset

2. try using different web browser (Firefox, Google Chrome)
