From The_Oracle's link:
"...Additionally, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
[etc.]..."How "...that message is completely different from mine..." escapes me -- one single word is different. That is more "resembles" than "different" in my simple mind. Dismissing the article so summarily does not seem to be the wisest strategy.
You do still have the problem, don't you?

Try unregistering the DLL first...
regsvr32 /u filename.dllThen reregister the dll
regsvr32 filename.dllIf that doesn't work, then try to unregister it and leave it at that. It may reregister itself when you open the internet. If you do not get any errors then you should be fine. If you do get errors reregister it after rebooting or try repairing Internet Explorer.

The article should apply to you.
The key word is "relocation".
I have seen many people get different files relocated.Article says---
To apply this hotfix, you must have Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed.

I have the same problem but I can't install service pack 2 an requirement for the Microsoft fix....because the DLL relocation error issue won't allow me to run the installation files for service pack 2....anybody have any suggestions?

I wonder if SP2 can be installed while you are
in Windows Safe-Mode ??And if Safe-Mode prevents Relocation ??
