Can anyone help me with installing IIS on my computer? I am using Windows XP home Edition and I followed the steps which I found on this link... http://adamv.com/dev/articles/iis-o...

But at the end I do not find the 'IIS' option in 'Add or Remove Windows Component.'

I'll be glad if someone can help me...

thanx

Did you copy the files from the 2K CD?

Yes i did that... I followed every single step and at the end did not find the 'IIS' option to check in the 'Add or Remove Windows Component.'

I wonder if IIS can be installed on Windows XP home edition?

As far as I know, IIS is only available in XP Professional.

xitami or filezillaserver is what you should play with.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, are in my top 10
