What do you mean exactly by had to delete everything?

If you reformatted and reinstalled the Operating System then is very little chance of retrieving anything. It will all have been overwritten.

PC Files inspector or recuva may be worth a try if you have a running system you can try to pull the data off the drive. They are both free and work well.

As stated above, a file recovery program might be able to recover some files. However, installing a new program may overwrite some of your files. Even if you are able to recover some files, my experience has been that much of the data will be corrupted and unusable.
