Hi i use Mozilla Firefox as a browser so i was instantly suspicious when i'm running photoshop and i notice a large slowdown. I press ctrl alt delete and i don't see many suspicious processes. I'm pretty well acustomed to what is running in the background. But i've started to notice a process called iexplore.exe But what's weird is i don't have internet explorer running AT ALL and its not a normal process that runs in the background of XP i looked on my brothers computer and he doesn't have it always runnign in the background.

There are 2 instances of it and they take up a significant amount of RAM compared to other applications. What's weird is when i rnan an online scan and spybot it didn't find anyting. So any help would be much apreciated.

If Mozilla Firefox is not your default browser, running Photoshop (Adobe LM Service) will use "iexplore.exe" to connect to internet.

Depends on the path, if the full path showing C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Iexplore.exe, its OK. But if the path is C:\Windows\Iexplore.exe or C:\WinNT\Iexplore.exe then one of the many other viruses masquerading as Internet Explorer.
