My norton sysworks 2003 is showing C:/Windows/iexpore.exe as trojan. I recently installed XP SP2. What is this mystery?

I don't know if that was a facetious comment by Lice Atk or not,but SP2 has caused problems on about 10% of the machines it was installed on. IEXPORE.EXE is a virus.

Note: Any malware can be named anything - so you should check where the files of the running processes are located on your disk. If a "non-Microsoft" .exe file is located in the C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32 folder, then there is a high risk for a virus, spyware, trojan or worm infection!

Are you certain it's iexplore.exe and not Lexplore.exe? Either way it doesn't belong on your system. Norton's is right, delete the file now.
