Hey,

I was wondering if you could help me out. I have two IEEE 1394 Firewire Hard Drives, one which I just purchased today. Anyways, I connect the Firewire drive to two different computers I have that have 1394 Capability but the machines both dont detect the drive. Furthermore, as I try to daisy chain a DV Camera, it doesn't pick up. However, when I connect the camera by itself, it works fine on both machines.

Now, I just got one of these drives today, so I know it should be working. I have tried by removing the Windows Firewall, but that didn't work. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanx

Only that you must be sure the drives are enabled. I use TweakUI from MS and go to My Computer (in Tweak), drives, and am sure the drives I want have a check in them. Don't know if this is your problem or not, but it may be.
