IE-Cannot open window. Please HELP!

Aproximately three days ago my computer started sending me error messages when I tried to open IE. At first it only happened when I tried to have more than one window open at a time. Now it has progressed and will not let me open any windows. Everytime I try to open IE my computer sends me the error responce: "IE has encountered an error and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." And then it asks me to send an error report. I cannot open IE at all now, and need to know how to fix this so that I can access it again. Can anyone give me any advice?
