After I installed ie8, outlook express pops up instead of outlook 2007 to send emails. How do i change default outlook express to outlook 2007?

Go to Start, Control Panel, Internet Options and click on the Programs Tab. In Programs the second option down is E-mail: on the far righ is an arrow down click on it and you should have Outlook 2007 as one of the options. Click on it and then click on the Apply Tab in the bottom righ corner.

If that doesn't work reinstall Outlook 2007 and repeat the above!

Outlook Express has 2 newer versions. Windows Mail and
the latest one is Windows Live Mail. Windows Live mail is better than Outlook Express.
